Cooperative Care Training

Making Life Less Stressful for Your Dog

Cooperative care is hugely beneficial to both dogs and owners by giving our dogs a clear way to communicate, which often actually increases the amount they are able to tolerate!

Cooperative care training can cover things like happily having their collar or harness put on, grooming, nail maintenance, muzzle training, vet visits and ear and eye care.

I have found that cooperative care training progresses quicker and is more fun for both the dog and owner if mixed with some fun trick training – which actually helps to grow skills we can then use for cooperative care!

Our Cooperative Care Webinar Recording is available to purchase and is the perfect first step in your cooperative care journey!

It covers the basics of what cooperative care is, how to deal with situations that may arise that you don’t yet have training in place for while protecting your cooperative care progress, as well as how to train the basic positions used in cooperative care (lie flat, chin target, front paws up and top nose target) as well as how to introduce potential ‘scary’ equipment to your dog – like an electric toothbrush or nail grinder.

Also included is a bonus video on how to get your dog comfortable wearing a harness.
